The Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement (CPA) aspires to attract peace innovators; to be a state of the art academic hub that incubates and advances collaborative, inter-disciplinary, multi-sector peacemaking. The CPA advances expansive and innovative understandings and practices of peace locally and globally by promoting collaboration among its peace partners in ways that seek wisdom, nurture faith and serve church and society. It is located at Conrad Grebel University College on the University of Waterloo campus in Canada.

At the CPA, we recognize the value of collaborative, inter-disciplinary, and multi-sector approaches to the advancement of peace. For this reason, the CPA is home to a variety of participants involved in the work of advancing peace. Our 6,000 square feet of space is occupied by a range of peace scholars from the University of Waterloo, as well as practitioners from local peace building organizations. Through forging opportunities for collaboration in the form of research, training and/or community engagement, we work to advance peace along with academics and practitioners from the University of Waterloo and beyond.

Located in a city with a vibrant and ever-growing social innovation scene, the Grebel Peace Incubator program situated inside the Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement (CPA) offers peace-related initiatives an opportunity to put wheels to their idea.

The Incubator space is 450 sq ft and contains 6 work stations with windows overlooking the south side of the campus. The Incubator program is a collection of individuals and teams who are passionate about their pursuit of new ways to advance peace. Most Incubator members come from beyond the University of Waterloo student community, though many are recent graduates.
