Interfaith Youth Innovators Summit
February 14-16, 2020
Manidokan Camp and Retreat Center, Knoxville, MD
Is there a problem in your community you wish to address but don’t know how? Have you ever wondered what other teens are doing to make their communities better? Have you ever felt that you’re the only one who seems to want to change the world? If you have said yes to any of these questions, then the Interfaith Youth Innovators Summit is for you.
From Malala Yousafzai to Greta Thunberg, we know that young people can reshape the world. We believe in the power of young people to lead change in their communities, and we recognize the importance of empowering young people to become changemakers. To this end, a group from around the Washington, DC, metropolitan area is coming together to support young people through the Interfaith Youth Innovators Summit.
The Interfaith Youth Innovators Summit is a weekend retreat for teenagers, ages 13 through 19, created to bring youth together across boundaries to explore how to become changemakers and help make our communities better. This is for teens of all faiths and no faith that care deeply about addressing the problems and injustices around them. During the weekend, you will engage with peers from diverse backgrounds to learn from each other and explore how to partner together to make the world better. And you will learn how to use design thinking techniques to develop and test ideas for change.
There is no cost for participants. And transportation will be provided between DC and Manidokan Camp.
