Interfaith Youth Innovators Summit, Washington, DC, February 14-16
A year ago, we gathered an interfaith group on a snowy evening in DC to listen to Peace First founder, Eric Dawson, and Peace First Fellow and ScholarCHIPS founder, Yasmine Arrington, discuss empowering young people to create change in their communities. Sufficiently inspired, a few of us from that event have joined forces to pilot an Interfaith Youth Innovators Summit in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The weekend will be an exciting interfaith experience for young people, ages 13-19, where they will learn to cross boundaries and design projects to better their communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to apply for mini-grants after the Summit to implement projects in their communities.
If you’re a young person, age 13-19, in the DC-MD-VA area, please join us! Just fill out the short interest form on the event page, and we’ll be in touch. And if you’re an adult who knows young people in the region with a passion to make the world a better place, please pass along the information and encourage them to join.
Deadline to complete interest form is February 3.
